I’m sure you must have heard our homegirl Mahira who is also one of the brand ambassadors of Lux is representing Pakistan hard at Cannes unless you’ve been spending too much time under a rock. From her floor-grazing black gown at the main event to a chic pants-to-inspire behind-the-scenes looks, Mahira’s fashion vogue game is giving A-listers from Hollywood and Bollywood serious competition. Mahira is the first Pakistani woman to grace the red carpet at Cannes and show a side of the country less known to the rest of the world.
While the international media is saturated with rather extremist imagery and perception of Pakistan, Mahira’s attendance at one of the most prestigious events in the entertainment industry, marks for a new decade in the history of Pakistan and further rolls the wheel of feminism in the subcontinent. Pakistan as a country, is so much more than violence and extremism and Mahira is there to show the world that we are #highfashion as our neighbours. Cheers to representation!
Here are our favourite 5 looks that Mahira pulled off at the grand event!

Pakistan Fashion Week draws to a close
Pakistan Fashion Week 2018 came to a close with its fair share of hits and misses. Sadly, this time around, there were more misses and designs that we are somewhat meh about than designs that made us thank the lord for fashion designers. Even though the fashion affair failed to satiate our hunger for fashion and good design, and didn’t give us any major #goals for next shadi season, here is a round-up of all the hits (in our humble opinion) and the oh, honey no! (i.e the misses) for you from PFW Day 2.
