It’s that of the year when the sun becomes an agent of hell and perspiration overshadows comfortable conversations! Here are 5 tips that could help you keep a check on your sweating and get that confidence back tiny rolls of sweat keep washing away.

Slash the spice

Did you know that spicy foods stimulate sweat glands that could eventually lead to body odour? Spices activate neurotransmitters called — something that immediately wakes up your sweat glands and turns them into such over actors. Now we know subcontinental food without spices is no food at all, so we suggest you dial down the spice in summers instead of chucking all the jars of spicy goodness out.

Befriend the antiperspirant

Invest in a strong deodorant that acts as a barrier between sweat, bacteria and your body saving from the embarrassment of body odour.

From hot baths to cold showers

There’s nothing than a hot comforting bath after a long day of dealing with life in general. But sadly every good thing come with a price. Hot water opens up your pores and makes them more prone to sweating. While the sun is blazing with all its fury, stick to lukewarm or cold showers to keep your pores closed and avoid excessive sweating. Moreover, add fragrant essential oils to your bath like lavender oil or go basic with a perfumed soap like Lux Perfume Collection for a lingering, sweet smell on your body.

Fabric wise

Excessive sweating can also be result of your choice of fabric. Stick to breathable fabrics such as lawn, light cotton and linen that allow air to go in and out.

Massage your face:
Use a cleanser or oil and massage your face muscles upwards to tighten loose skin and give your face a lifted look. This nighttime ritual may seem trivial but you’d be surprised with its results in the long run. Massaging helps exercise your face muscles and stops them from drooping. Make your cleanser or oil has a good dose of Vitamin C so that you can also boost collagen production while you massage your face.

Use an egg white mask:
Egg white is a powerhouse of anti-aging agents like omega-3 fatty acids, proteins, and zinc. It is known to tighten the skin making it firm and smooth. Take a tea spoon of honey and one raw egg, and mix it until you have a smooth and consistent substance. Spread this skin tightening face mask onto your face and neck and relax for fifteen minutes. Then wash it with lukewarm water and pat your skin with a clean towel.

Invest in a good anti-aging day cream:
The New Pond’s Age Miracle Day Cream has Pond’s’ most advanced anti-aging technology, Retinol-C Complex, to continuously release powerful anti-aging retinoid actives that work help in reducing wrinkles for a youthful glow. If you feel like a day cream isn’t enough you can up your skin game with Fair & Lovely BB Cream packed with the goodness of micro vitamins and SPF for a lightweight coverage that doesn’t set into the wrinkles or fine lines (if any).

Use a cream blush and highlighter:
Nothing says youthful glow than a flush across the cheeks and that lit from within glow. Go makeup shopping and take your time to pick what really suits your skintone. However, as skin matures it loses its elasticity and natural oils so we suggest you pick cream blush and highlighter first, test and try and see if it works well with your skin since powder makes dry skin look dryer and cakey.
